How the estimate works
The arithmetic is: annual support × years, plus additional obligations, minus dedicated assets and existing cover, with a floor of zero. It treats future dollars as if they have the same value today.
This estimate excludes inflation, taxes, investment returns, and changes in household needs. It does not assess policy eligibility or affordability. A zero result does not mean insurance is unnecessary. Review your needs and any existing workplace coverage with a licensed insurance professional.
