Compare premiums and deductibles

Compare the annual cost of two policies, with and without a covered claim.

Your entries stay in this browser.

Enter the annual premiums and fixed-dollar deductibles from the policies you want to compare. The prefilled values are examples.

Policy A
Policy B
Assumes the same covered loss under both policies, before the deductible.

Choose your inputs, then select compare costs.

Compare the policy wording, too

With no claim, the annual cost shown is the premium. With one covered claim, it is the premium plus the smaller of the loss and the deductible. The model assumes the insurer pays the remaining covered loss.

Estimates assume one covered claim and sufficient policy limits. They exclude coinsurance, copays, percentage deductibles, multiple claims, exclusions, and changes to future premiums. This calculator is not designed for health insurance. Check the full policy terms before choosing coverage.
